Eternal Spark in Winter Snow
Most people are used to seeing superyachts in the middle of summer. We are used to photos of blue water, swimming, and sunshine. But right now, ETERNAL SPARK is in a very different setting. The yacht is currently berthed in Varna, Bulgaria, for her waranity works. She is also deep in the middle of winter, and the scene at the marina is something you rarely see in this industry. It is quiet and very very cold.
It is winter and the first thing you notice is the snow. There is a lot of it. It has covered the entire vessel and the surrounding area. The marina looks like a quiet village covered in white. It is an incredible atmosphere to witness in person. The snow is thick and fresh, hiding the decks and sitting heavy on the railings.
Usually, ETERNAL SPARK stands out due to her modern design and sharp lines. But under the snow, she looks different. She looks solid and peaceful. She blends in with the winter sky and the snow on the docks. It is a clean and simple look. The windows, which usually reflect the bright sun, now reflect the grey sky and the white surroundings.

Seeing the yacht like this is interesting because it shows the scale of the boat. Even when everything is hidden under a layer of ice and snow, the vessel still looks impressive. It is a strong reminder that this boat is built to handle all kinds of environments, not just the warm ones.
The Reality of Winter Works
While the yacht looks calm on the outside, there is a lot of work happening inside. However, this weather brings its own set of problems. The biggest challenge is finalizing the exterior works. The plan was to finish specific updates and warranty repairs on the outside of the boat, but the weather is making it very difficult.

Everything depends on the weather. For exterior work, we need dry conditions and specific temperatures. We cannot work on the teak, the paint, or the caulking when it is snowing or freezing. The crew and the workers have to wait for the weather to clear up before they can continue.
Interior Projects on Eternal Spark
Inside the yacht, things are moving faster. We are using this time to make the boat better for the crew and the guests. The major job for the interior right now involves the service areas. We decided to remove the dumbwaiter system since after the first season, we realized that we did not use the dumbwaiter as much as we expected, but we always need more storage.

We are converting the dumbwaiter shaft into a dedicated storage space. This will make day-to-day operations much smoother for the crew. To get this done, we are working with an experienced designer, who will also revamp the entire bridge deck pantry.
The pantry redesign will serve to improve the overall guest service onboard, as well as provide additional storage for the yacht’s ample charter inventory.
Getting Ready for the Season
Even though the snow looks nice and the marina is peaceful, the goal is to get ETERNAL SPARK ready for the summer charter season. Winter works are a normal part of owning a boat. Since this is a new boat, we are also doing warranty works to fix small things that came up during the first year. This is important to ensure everything works perfectly when the guests arrive.

We are using this quiet time in Bulgaria to check everything. The crew are combing the entirety of the yacht, looking at the engines, the systems, and the guest areas. By the time the snow melts and the sun comes out, the works will be done. The dumbwaiter will be gone, the storage will be ready, and the exterior will be fresh.

We want to make sure that ETERNAL SPARK keeps her high standard. The weather is a hurdle right now, but it will pass. Until then, we enjoy the view of the snow and keep pushing forward with the interior projects.
