Ocean Independence Timeline

Ocean Independence had humble beginnings, starting as “Ocean Cruise AG” in 1991, followed shortly by “Ocean Management GmbH” in 2003.

In 2005, Ocean Cruise acquired Velonà Yachting and merged with SEA Independence, becoming the Ocean Independence known today.
2009 saw the acquisition of Cavendish White, and 2011 the coming of Primo Yacht into the Ocean Independence fold.

6 years later, in 2015, the Küsnacht office opened as the new global headquarters for Ocean Independence and Ocean Management, followed by the expansion of the US office in Ft. Lauderdale in the same year.

2016 and 2017 were heavy-hitting years, with the refreshing of the Ocean Independence brand and the launch of yachting lifestyle publication PURSUIT, parallel to the acquisition of Seanergy from Hong Kong.
